OCAMORA: A 265 acre retreat center nestled unobtrusively in a high valley on the eastern slope of the Sangre de Cristo range in northern New Mexico. A mile-long valley composed of irrigated agricultural and lightly forested land, beautiful pastures, creek, year-round spring, organic apple orchard, abundant wildlife, and mountain wilderness, Ocamora is located two hours northeast of Santa Fe and an hour east of Taos.

Ocamora is the result of commitment to a vision of healthy land stewardship and sustainability held by its two primary stewards, Pattie Cavelletto and Michael Broome. Ocamora has also benefited from a caring group of friends and associates who continue to provide advice, assistance, and personal energy to its programs in a spirit of service and community trust.

For over 20 years Ocamora has offered its extraordinary landscape as a retreat, meditation, and educational center during the warm and stunningly green summer season. During the off season Ocamora has provided scheduled private retreat space for small groups and individuals. The facilities of Ocamora have comfortably accommodated groups of 15 – 24 people in a setting of charm and rustic elegance.

At essence, the Ocamora experience offers a kind of relic relationship to land and nature, one that is suffering rapid extermination in our increasingly urbanized world. Here survives a rare, quiet space far from the cacophony of civilization, dedicated to soulful relationship and environmental sustainability. Ocamora has served to inspire groups and individuals to return year after year to experience its profound gift of personal renewal and regeneration.
