Program Description:

This retreat is simply a short time out from our ordinary lives to slow down and enter the quiet and stillness of nature and the nature of our own hearts and minds. Out of the spaciousness of deep practice supported by a group and the cultivation of the sacred in the everyday, we are assured of the clarity and knowing that arises naturally when we stop long enough to hear that quiet voice within. Through sustained meditation over several days we may begin to recognize the habitual patterns that keep us from realizing our full potential and drop beyond an intellectual understanding of our condition into experiencing the taste of liberation from suffering. Nurturing the part of ourselves that is so often sacrificed in the midst of our increasingly busy lives, our creative direction and heartfelt motivation is strengthened and we can return to the path of service with renewed energy.

This retreat will include sitting and walking meditation (both indoors and out); movement and writing practice; noble silence and council sharing; time alone as well as with the group; nourishing meals and plenty of rest.
