SUMMARY:Living Systems Leadership Retreat for Women
DESCRIPTION:Biomimicry for Social Innovation presentsLiving Systems Leadership Retreat for WomenToby Herzlich / Karen Allen / Brandi Mack \nAugust 31–September 5\, 2026(5 nights / 6 days) \nThe call of our time is for women to step forward to lead in new ways\, embodying approaches that are adaptive\, resilient\, collaborative\, and networked – practices that the natural world has masterfully evolved over nearly 4 billion years. \nThe retreat revolves around six “Living Systems Leadership Practices\,” deep patterns distilled from nature’s evolutionary wisdom that can serve as guidance for our own regenerative work. \nOur days will be filled with intimate experiences of the local ecosystem\, getting to know the plants\, animals\, and birds of this special place\, and what they can teach us about ourselves and our own communities. We will practice the art of listening\, observing\, wondering\, and distilling insights from direct experiences of nature\, in collaborative engagement with a diverse group of purposeful women/womxn. \n“This workshop allows a closer\, more informed relationship to the Natural world that we can mirror in our own professional and personal lives to become a creative force in reshaping the future.” – 2024 participant \nA limited number of partial scholarships are available by application. \nFor more information and to register\, contact: toby@bio-sis.net

SUMMARY:Pregnant Darkness and the Return of the Light Body
DESCRIPTION:Pregnant Darkness and the Return of the Light BodyMonika Wikman and Diane HaugAssisted by Kirsten Kairos and Patty NagleSeptember 10-16\, 2026(6 Nights / 7 Days)Invitational / Retreat Full \n“Everything young grows old\, all beauty fades\, all heat cools\, all brightness dims\, and every truth becomes stale and trite. For all these things have taken on shape\, and all shapes are worn thin by the working of time; they age\, sicken\, crumble to dust— unless they change. But change they can\, for the invisible spark that generated them is potent enough for infinite generation…. Every descent is followed by an ascent; the vanishing shapes are shaped anew\, and a truth is valid in the end only if it suffers change and bears new witness in new images\, in new tongues\, like a new wine that is put into new bottles.”– C.G. Jung\, CW 5\, para. 553. \nWith guided meditations\, Grof® Breathwork\, dream tending\, active imagination\, art making\, writing\, ritual\, music\, and time out on the land\, the theme of this retreat will focus on honoring the religious instincts that awaken during the psycho-spiritual descent mysteries in the rounds of change. Together we will ponder material from real human life and death processes\, near-death experiences\, and sprinklings from the works of the luminaries. The time together and our shared field will cultivate the presence of the living subtle body dimension among us. \nBIOsMonika Wikman\, PhD\, is a Jungian analyst\, astrologer and author of Pregnant Darkness: Alchemy and the Rebirth of Consciousness and coming soon as contributor and editor of Living with Fire: The Visionary Alchemical Work of Nathan Schwartz Salant\, along with various other published chapters\, articles and poems over the years. She trained and has practiced as both an analyst and a cranial sacral therapist with the dying. She hosts a non-profit project under Earthways.com\, The Center for Alchemical Studies. For more information about the work of Monika Wikman\, www.monikawikman.com \nDiane Haug\, MA\, LPCC is a licensed therapist and Director of both the Grof Legacy Project and Ocamora Retreat Center. For the last 40 years her public life has been focused on the healing potential of expanded states of consciousness. Her private life has been sourced by a lifelong connection with the natural world. Diane is currently an instructor with the CIIS Center for Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies and Research (San Francisco\, CA) and adjunct faculty with Southwestern College (Santa Fe\, New Mexico). \nKirsten Kairos (KK)\, is the founder of LightHorse Equine & Wellness\, a 501c3\, is a Creative Life Guide\, Equine Gestaltist™ and Expanded States Facilitator. Her love of sound\, movement and breath as both a soul expression and a healing modality has been cultivated through lifelong careers in music\, body awareness and transformation. Partnered in practice with her horse\, Ash\, Kirsten is inspired by nature\, multiculturalism and inclusion\, as she holds space for the release of trauma and the emergence of authenticity in all beings. \nPatty Nagle\, LMHC is a mental health counselor\, certified Grof® Breathwork facilitator\, and licensed massage therapist who’s spent the past decade immersed in the world of expanded states of consciousness. Patty brings a unique mix of skills to her work—therapy\, bodywork\, group facilitation\, and event production and logistics\, which keeps events running smoothly. She’s especially drawn to the deep\, often wordless healing that can happen through the body\, and she brings that sensitivity into the “bodywork” aspect of breathwork. \nThis retreat is Invitational and Fully Booked
