Retreats at Ocamora are guided by seasoned teachers and wisdom holders in a unique and memorable natural setting near the historic village of Ocate, New Mexico. Week-long retreat offerings have included programs focused on traditional contemplative practice, Meditation and Creativity, EcoPsychology, Women’s Leadership, Depth Psychology, Archetypal Dreamwork, Women’s Healing Intensives, Grof® Legacy Project events, Indigenous Mycelium Gathering (2025) and many more since 1982.

Guest Lodging
Ocamora’s home-like ranch is situated in a beautiful and remote natural setting. There are several lodging options: Cloisters Rooms or Orchard Rooms, Orchard Cabins, Orchard Yurts, or Orchard Camping. Each space has its own unique, comfortably rustic charm. Guests who have come repeatedly like to stay in different spaces for the varied experience. Please note that bathroom facilities are shared and include a solar wash house and outhouses in the orchard.
For Retreat Rates including Ocamora Guest Lodging options, you must contact your Retreat Leader directly for this information. Ocamora staff will not have this information for you.

Important: Please make sure that you have a cell phone number for your retreat organizer or their assistant before travel. Should you need assistance they can engage the designated Ocamora retreat manager for additional help.

Ocamora is located in Mora County, northeastern New Mexico. It is a 3-hour drive from Albuquerque, a 2-hour drive from Santa Fe, a 1.75 hour drive from Taos, and a 1-hour drive north of Las Vegas, New Mexico.
There is no public transportation available in the northeastern part of the state.
Transportation requires the use of private cars or rented vehicles. Most group leaders will assist with helping to arrange ride sharing when possible.
Driving directions from the Albuquerque or Santa Fe areas:
Take interstate I25 north to Las Vegas, NM , exit, and head north on state roads 518 and then 442
OR
continue on to Wagon Mound,NM, exit on state highway 120, and head west towards the mountains
Once in ‘downtown’ Ocate (a T intersection) continue west on state highway 120 for approximate 3 miles
Look carefully for mile marker 14 (on left side of road) and then turn RIGHT on CO09 (a dirt road with a vertical sign)
Continue on CO09 for approximately 1 mile until you see a large mailbox with 43 Canyon Bonita on the RIGHT side of the road.
Ocamora’s parking area is behind a wooden coyote fence just after the mailbox.
