Pregnant Darkness and the Return of the Light Body
Monika Wikman and Diane Haug
Assisted by Kirsten Kairos and Patty Nagle
September 10-16, 2026
(6 Nights / 7 Days)
Invitational / Retreat Full
“Everything young grows old, all beauty fades, all heat cools, all brightness dims, and every truth becomes stale and trite. For all these things have taken on shape, and all shapes are worn thin by the working of time; they age, sicken, crumble to dust— unless they change. But change they can, for the invisible spark that generated them is potent enough for infinite generation…. Every descent is followed by an ascent; the vanishing shapes are shaped anew, and a truth is valid in the end only if it suffers change and bears new witness in new images, in new tongues, like a new wine that is put into new bottles.”
– C.G. Jung, CW 5, para. 553.
With guided meditations, Grof® Breathwork, dream tending, active imagination, art making, writing, ritual, music, and time out on the land, the theme of this retreat will focus on honoring the religious instincts that awaken during the psycho-spiritual descent mysteries in the rounds of change. Together we will ponder material from real human life and death processes, near-death experiences, and sprinklings from the works of the luminaries. The time together and our shared field will cultivate the presence of the living subtle body dimension among us.

Patty Nagle, LMHC is a mental health counselor, certified Grof® Breathwork facilitator, and licensed massage therapist who’s spent the past decade immersed in the world of expanded states of consciousness.
