Guest Lodging

Ideal for small groups of between 12–21 people, Ocamora offers several lodging options: Cloisters Rooms or Orchard Rooms, Orchard Cabins, Orchard Yurts, or Orchard Camping. Each and every option has its own unique, comfortably rustic charm. Guests who have come many times like to stay in different places for the varied experiences offered by each one. Please note that all bathroom facilities are shared and include a solar wash house and outhouses.

Cloisters Area Lodging

The Cloisters lodging area is a welcoming and comfortable hand-built adobe compound with five bedrooms. In addition to the five Cloisters Lodging Rooms, there is a spacious library, a small kitchen (including stove, refrigerator, coffeemaker, dishes, etc.), a shared bathroom (with private shower stall), and a covered outdoor seating area that includes a striking kiva fireplace. The patio area is centered around a beautiful old apple tree and perennial flower beds. Linens and towels are provided with all Cloisters rooms. The entire Cloisters area sleeps between 5-10 people, depending on the group/individual choices. Please note that the Cloisters Library has two built-in window seats that we do not use as sleeping spaces unless there are special needs.

Orchard Area Lodging

The Orchard area lodging options––Orchard Rooms, Orchard Cabins, Orchard Yurts, or Orchard Camping–– are all placed in relation to a 100 year-old apple orchard. The view to the east is spectacular and includes the nearby mountain and fields. The feeling is vast and open. All spaces in the orchard are served by a spacious and clean solar wash house and a number of conveniently located outhouses. Linen and towels are provided with all Orchard Rooms, Orchard Cabins, and Orchard Yurts. Orchard Camping may be available upon request, but Ocamora does not provide camping equipment, linens, or towels for tent campers.

Orchard Rooms

The Orchard Rooms (Aspen / Cedar / Willow / Oak) are four single rooms under one roof. They share a spacious covered terrace with a stunning view of the apple orchard and nearby mountain. All rooms include a single built-in bed/reading lamp, closet, writing desk /table lamp, etc. The patio is furnished with comfortable wicker furniture and a large coffee table. Sleeps 1 person in each of the 4 single rooms.

Orchard Cabins

There are two free-standing Orchard Cabins available for guests. Each cabin has a small front porch/bench and is furnished with a full-sized bed, nightstand / lamp, closet, and writing desk /lamp. Can be used as singles or for couples. Sleeps 2 – 4 people.

Orchard Yurts

Ocamora offers three yurts: a 12’ (single occupancy), a 14’ (single or double occupancy) and a 20” (double or triple occupancy) tucked back in the woods along the upper orchard path. All guest yurts are furnished with conventional wood frame beds and mattresses. The larger yurt can easily accommodate 2-3 people and the smaller yurts are ideal for a single retreatant. The yurts do not have electric lights and are served by lanterns with rechargeable batteries. Linen and towels are provided. Sleeps 1 – 4 people.

Orchard Camping

Upon request, additional private tent or vehicular camping in designated areas may be available and could increase maximum number of participants. Ocamora does not supply any tent camping equipment, linens, or towels to campers.

Neither guests nor public are allowed to camp overnight in RVs, vans, trucks, or cars anywhere on the 265-acre Ocamora property. No public tent camping is allowed at any time. Tent camping by retreat participants is only available by special request through their Retreat Leader.

Ocamora is only available for booking by known and vetted Retreat Leaders. No retreats or stays are available for individuals, family gatherings, reunions, weddings, etc. Have questions about how to bring your retreat group to Ocamora in the future? Please contact us.
